The last few years have made it clear how susceptible international national supply chains have become to disruption. The corona virus has paralyzed foreign production facilities. The cargo ship Ever Given blocked the Suez Canal. The war in Ukraine has led to energy supply bottlenecks and the Huthi rebels have obstructed transportation links through the Red Sea. Such events disrupt international supply chains and affect the business of international companies. (German)
